Gregory J. Anton, CPA, CGMA Chairman Greg has served as a member of the Board of Directors and the governing Council for seven years. He chaired the Finance Committee in 2008-2009 and the Board Task Force on FASAB Rule 203 Review and has served on the Audit, Compensation and Investments Committees, as well as the Member Advisory Panel and the Expert Panels Oversight Group. Greg is a founding partner of Anton Collins Mitchell LLP in Denver, CO. He was past chair of the Colorado Society of CPAs’ Board of Directors from 2004-05. |

Ami Beers, CPA Manager - Business Reporting, Assurance and Advisory Services Ami is responsible for providing information, tools and resources that enable members to provide valuable business reporting, assurance and advisory services. This includes building awareness and understanding of XBRL and supports the AICPA XBRL Assurance Task Force.

Claudia Cieslak Communications Specialist Claudia works on the CPA profession’s volunteer effort, 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy, and the award-winning public service campaign, Feed the Pig. Her role includes managing the social media properties and websites for both efforts, as well as writing the Feed the Pig Weekly Tip, in addition to supporting the internal and executive communications teams.

Jonathan B. Cox Senior Manager - Media Relations Before immersing himself in the world of accounting, Jonathan worked as a journalist for 10 years at both Bloomberg News in Washington, DC and The News & Observer in Raleigh, NC. His reporting career took him all the way to Beijing, China, and on a tour of industries, including technology, telecommunications and healthcare. He holds an MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a BA in Journalism, also from UNC.

Jina Etienne, CPA Director of Taxation Jina started her career in 1989 in the tax department of Touche Ross and, in 1993, started her own practice to focus on the needs of small businesses and their owners. She recently joined the AICPA after 17 years in private practice.

Amy Eubanks, CPA Director - Accounting and Auditing Publications Amy’s responsibilities include the development of AICPA accounting and auditing publications, including series such as the Audit and Accounting Guides and Accounting Trends and Techniques, and she is responsible for the newly launched Financial Reporting Center on AICPA.org.

Melora C. Heavey Senior Manager - Communications Melora manages the CPA profession’s volunteer effort, 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy, and the award-winning public service campaign, Feed the Pig. She serves as the staff liaison to the National CPA Financial Literacy Commission, the leadership body and primary spokespeople for 360 Degrees of Financial Literacy.

Edward S. Karl, CPA Vice President of Taxation Edward is responsible for the review, formulation, and submission to Congress, the Treasury Department, and the Internal Revenue Service of technical and policy recommendations for improvement of the federal tax process. Edward serves as a principal liaison for the AICPA with the Internal Revenue Service. He is also responsible for tax ethical issues including management of the AICPA’s tax standards, the Statements on Standards for Tax Services. Finally, Edward oversees the Tax Division’s delivery of services to members which focuses on helping AICPA members provide the highest quality professional tax services.

Melissa M. Labant, JD, CPA/PFS, CFP Director - Tax Advocacy and Professional Standards Melissa assists in the development and implementation of the AICPA’s tax advocacy strategy which centers on the review, formulation and submission to Congress, the Department of Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service of technical and policy recommendations. Melissa obtained her law degree and B.S. in Business Administration (with an emphasis in accounting) from St. Louis University.

James Metzler, CPA Vice President - Small Firm Interests James leads AICPA initiatives aimed at serving the needs of practitioners, including the activities of the Private Companies Practice Section as well as the Institute’s specialized communities and accreditations. He also serves as an advocate for small firms on standard setting, legislative matters and practice issues and as liaison between the AICPA and its member firms.

Andrea Millar, CPA/PFS Sr Technical Manager - PFP Andrea leads the AICPA Personal Financial Division. Her responsibilities include working with the PFP Executive and PFS Credential committees to drive the advocacy, education and other initiatives on behalf of the 7,500 AICPA members who specialize in providing estate, retirement, tax, investment and insurance advice to their individual clients.

Michael Ramos Director of CPE and Training Mike sets the strategic direction and manages operations of the professional development business unit at the AICPA. He combines his understanding of technical audit and accounting issues with his communication skills and experience to advance AICPA CPE offerings. He is the author of many books and training courses on SOX 404, internal control and other auditing matters.

Stacie Saunders Strategist, Social Media and Member Engagement Stacie leads and guides the AICPA’s social media strategy and has oversight of the Institute’s social networking properties. A 10-year media veteran, Stacie took her marketing efforts into the social space in 2009, creating one of the largest social media presences in the country for a local television station.

James Schiavone Manager - Media Relations Born and raised in New York City, James graduated from Tulane University with a BA in Sociology and English minor. In his role on the media relations team, he scours the news for articles relevant to the accounting profession and the finance industry. From the front page of the New York Times to obscure blogs in the back corners of the Internet, James finds the news CPAs need to know and shares it with them through the @AICPANews Twitter account. He does proactive media outreach, tracks, analyzes and reports on the AICPA’s media activity and manages the AICPA’s Press Center.

Eileen Reichenberg Sherr, CPA, MST Senior Technical Manager – Taxation Eileen staffs the AICPA Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Technical Resource Panel and its Carryover Basis Task Force. She is responsible for the development and submission of comments to Congress, Treasury and the Internal Revenue Service, and developing tools, updates and alerts for members. She has a Master’s degree in Taxation from The George Washington University.

Arleen Thomas, CPA, CGMA Senior Vice President – Management Accounting Arleen has served in various positions at the AICPA, including Vice President of Professional Standards and Services and Vice President of Self-Regulation and the SEC Practice Section. She joined the AICPA as Director of Accounting Standards, serving as the technical advisor to the U.S. representatives on the International Accounting Standards Committee. Prior to the AICPA, Arleen was a senior manager at KPMG Peat Marwick, a predecessor firm of KPMG LLP, in the department of professional practice. She was also a statistical audit specialist and national instructor for the firm's audit and accounting programs. Arleen holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Metropolitan State College in Denver, Colorado.
